Looking for a cool Denver area brewery near you that also has food? Our food menu includes light and tasty appetizers featuring locally sourced sausages meats, and cheeses. All stuffed inside our homemade hot bread. In Europe, it is common to have a beer and small bites at every bar you visit. Our handcrafted food dishes are small, made with local ingredients, and perfect for sharing. We choose our foods to pair excellently with our beer and cocktails.
Our kitchen is called “The Loaded Squirrel.” A name our youngest daughter thought of because she envisioned a fat squirrel eating nuts. Virtually everyone we have talked to thought it was very funny. (Sometimes we wish we just named our daughter Wendy).
Note: There are no actual squirrels in our food. That is just the name of our kitchen.

Whiskey distillery next door too with great local made whiskey drinks. This place has it all. My favorite area brewery!
We had a very large group, so I really appreciated the quick service the entire evening. All of the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, they even allowed our group to stay an hour later past closing time. They were also knowledgeable and passionate about their beers and the food which were all delicious (highly recommend the “Squirrel Mess” scramble). The venue itself was spacious, comfortable, and eclectic – the perfect ambiance for our group.
I can’t believe I’ve lived in Thornton over a year and hadn’t ventured into this area and discovered this amazing place. I’ll definitely be returning for a date night and hopefully more Meetups!
