2022 Life to the Fullest -Wine Beer & Spirits Tasting | Romito Foundation | Aug 20, 5pm – 10pm

Come Enjoy Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting from the best micro-breweries (including Satire), wineries, and distilleries around, great food, fabulous live music, and an awesome silent auction while raising money for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Tickets are $70 and include event entry, hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine tastings, and registration as a participant in the silent auction. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. 

 

2nd Annual “Hacking Fore Heroes” Golf Tournament | American Heroes in Action | August 27 

Get 3 friends together and come golf at the 2nd Annual Hacking Fore Heroes Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 27th. American Heroes In Action provides therapeutic outdoor adventures to American heroes including combat wounded veterans, injured firefighters, injured members of law enforcement and other first responders. 

 

Taste of Colorado Labor Day Weekend | September 3-5 

The Taste of Colorado festival is returning to the 16th Street Mall for Labor Day weekend. Over 30 vendors (including Satire!) will offer tiny samples of things on their menu along Arapahoe Street between 15th and 18th Street. In addition to food (and booze!), Taste of Colorado will have music stages featuring up and coming Denver bands. Plus, Glenarm to Curtis along the 16th Street Mall will house booths for local artists and artisans to sell their ware like art, crafts, home items, furniture, and jewelry. 

 

American Heroes in Action Appreciation Day | Satire Brewing | September 18 at 3pm 

Join us at Satire Grant Circle for American Heros in Action Appreciation Day. We’re happy to host in honor of injured military, police, firefighters and first responders. 10% of all sales on September 18 go to the cause. One of five nonprofits we support. 

 

Orchards Beer and Wine Festival | September 24 at 3pm 

Enjoy the best local food, wine, and beer, all for a great cause! This festival benefits The Marc Jr. Foundation. The Marc Jr. Foundation, a nonprofit supporting children diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer and their families. Admission includes samplings from local breweries, wineries, and cideries, live music performance from Wash Park, delicious food from participating Orchard restaurants, exclusive offers from Orchard retailers, silent auction and 50/50 raffle, swag bag with a commemorative item and tasting glass, and more. 

 

Past Thornton Summer Events With Beer (and Without)

Rumble Boxing 

On May 21 we joined up with Rumble Boxing to offer a FREE 45-minute shadow boxing workout. Because what goes better with boxing than beer!? Rumble Boxing offers a collection of classes led by instructors who are part DJs, part motivational speakers, and complete Master of Ceremonies. In every 45-minute class, there is an awesome workout engineered to the beat of custom hip-hop and house mashups. The music, the lights, the program, and the collective heartbeat of the room all come together for an intense and effective workout.  

 

Rumble Boxing Workouts

The 10-round, 45-minute fight is evenly divided between two styles of training. Half of the class is spent exploring the skills and drills of boxing, and the other half is spent on the transformative power of resistance training. 

We’re working hard to bring you fun Thornton events with beer this summer. Other events we have participated in this year include the Northglenn Food Truck Carnival and a fundraiser for #tougher2gether. 

Movies in the Park 

Festivities begin at 7pm and movies start at dusk. No alcohol is permitted, but swing by Satire for a few brews and sharable plates before the film. Schedule:

Thornton’s Twist and Shout Summer Concerts  

Thornton’s Twist and Shout Summer Concert Series offers FREE family-friendly concerts on Thursdays from 7pm to 8:30pm. Four shows are scheduled for Harley Brown Amphitheater at Carpenter Park. The others are at Pecos Park, Fallbrook Farms Park, Yorkborough Park, and Riverdale Park. Bring your own blankets or chairs.
