The Halloween season is upon us. While some annual holiday happenings are canceled due to COVID-19, a few spooky events are still scheduled as planned with modification to facilitate safety protocols like social distancing. Take a look at what’s coming up, plus read about our new Satire Brewery Unleash and Batch releases here just in time for Halloween.
Thornton Trunk or Treat Drive-Thru | Friday, October 30 | 6 PM
Journey through haunted creations of decorated trunks, scenes from Garden of the Ghouls and wave at your favorite characters. Once you finish your drive-through, drop off nonperishable food items or personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves and wipes and receive a free bag of treats. Supplies are limited, so go early.
Haunted Field of Screams
For the 2020 season, the Haunted Field of Screams is transforming into an extended single haunt experience with multiple haunted house encounters, a hayride, and trip down the Riverdale Gates of Hell. This will be the longest haunt attraction you’ve ever experienced at the Haunted Field of Screams.
Maize in the City
Who doesn’t love a good corn maze?! Maize in the City is Colorado’s favorite rural fall happening. With convenient and fun fall attractions for all including, and featuring a 20-acre corn maze, it’s no wonder MITC was voted best in Denver. Farmer-owned, the site also offers a variety of locally grown pumpkins, gourds, and other fall decor for purchase, a mini maze, and much more. Maize in the City is free to the public.
New Brews at Satire
Of course we’re bringing you yummy new brews just in time for the Halloween season.
Shamus Red | New Unleash
Creamy Scottish ale, subtle roastiness, honey, and toffee notes. Shamus was William Wallace’s cousin, a giant warrior with long red hair and a full bush red beard known for slaying hundreds of Englishmen. Just kidding…we made it up.
Kahludicrous | New Batch Release
Rich, smooth, stout made with secret Kahlua base recipe from a friend. Chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. It’s ludicrously delicious. May turn you into a Kahluatic.
Snatch Green Chile | New Batch Release
Light ale with roasted New Mexico hatch chilies. Drier than our last batch but we don’t want to call it dry snatch, or it may offend certain age groups. Possibly the best or only snatch you’ve ever had. Snatch it up while it lasts.
No matter how you choose to celebrate Halloween this year, be sure to visit us at Satire. We offer a unique and ever-changing selection of craft microbrews, plus a delicious menu of small plates and appetizers. Visit our menu page for more information.
